About Us

What a privilege we have welcoming guests everyday to Pend Oreille County and their stay at the Circle Motel.  It is our goal to offer a unique experience for travelers at the motel.  We are in the process of change, the on going process of life.  We are beginning the process of remodeling all the bathrooms, replacing the carpets, theme each room with plans on the table for expanding our capacity.  A 10 year plan to offer guests the unexpected for this part of rural America.

We added on-line reservation capability to save you time in planning your experience in Pend Oreille County.  For the sporting enthusist our Sports Shop can equip you for your outdoor adventure from fishing to bird watching to hiking and everything in-between.  Registered guests save 10% on their sporting goods purchases.

With the discovery of our corner of the Country in publications such as the Rand McNally Atlas and other travel guides we recommend booking early and with so much to do, plan to stay longer as you discover why we are called the "zoo" with so much wildlife and natural beauty.

Whether you are looking for a mid-week or weekend get-away, a sportsman's and sportswoman's paradise, a place to unwind and relax, or somewhere to make new discoveries, the Circle Motel offers a stay and play location to meet your needs.
Bring your Kayak, canoe or boat to across the waters of Sullivan Lake or traverse a stretch of the Pend Oreille River (which contributes to almost half of the water in the Columbia River).
Come with binoculars for outstanding bird watching, or focus in on deer, elk, bear (black, brown and grizzly), mountain lions, bobcats, eagles, osprey, big horn sheep, mountain goats, moose and other wildlife which call this area home.
Bring your bike (powered by pedal or gas) to cruise around some awesome scenery (plan a tripe along the Internation Selkirk loop...see the link).
Take a ride on the Lions Club Train (seasonal), or take the guided tour down Gardner Cave (season).  Visit the powerhouse at Boundary (where Seattle generates a large portion of its power) Dam or Box Canyon Dam.
In the winter bring your snowmobile or ski's (we are located within 50 miles of 4 great ski hills in Canada and the USA).  Bring your ATV in the spring, summer and fall.
Hunting, Fishing, climbing, hiking, and more await your trip to North Pend Orielle County and did we mention, Canada (Castlegar, Trail, Nelson & more) or just up the road for day trips.
The state record German Brown Trout was caught in Sullivan Lake...locals report a bigger record waiting to be caught...will you be the one to do it?
